How to Prep Your Brand for 2025
Plus, a Brand Audit Workshop for paid subscribers!
Earlier today, I looked at my calendar and gasped out loud, “Thanksgiving is next week.”
And as the year winds down, I’m tempted to rush into planning for what’s next. This time of year always comes with a sense of excitement and energy about all the things that I can build and change in the new year.
(This time of year has also come with a sense of dread for what’s to come, but I’m choosing to tuck those thoughts into the recesses of my mind for a later date.)
And if you, like me, are itching to plan what’s next, I’d like you to:
🛑 Stop. 😮💨 Breathe. 👀 And reflect on what’s worked this year—and what didn’t.
As solopreneurs and creators, we’re so busy building, publishing, and creating (for ourselves and our clients) that we rarely stop to ask:
Is this actually working?
What’s falling flat?
Where do I go from here?
A brand audit can help you answer these questions (and more)!
But a brand audit isn’t just about looking back; it’s about using those insights to create a clear, focused direction for the future. It’s your opportunity to identify what clicked, what missed, and how to align your efforts with your goals for 2025.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what a brand audit is and why you need it.
P.S. I’m hosting a Brand Audit Workshop for paid subscribers. Keep scrolling to grab the details!

What is a Brand Audit?
Think of this auditing process as a “greatest hits” (and some misses) review of everything you’ve created in the past year. By visually laying out your creative work—social posts, campaigns, emails—you can see patterns, celebrate wins, and call out what didn’t serve you.
The goal? More of what works. Less of what doesn’t.
Why Do a Brand Audit?
A brand audit will help you celebrate your wins. When you’re able to look back on the pieces you’ve created that represent you, your work, and your ethos, you’ll be able to identify the things you loved creating and the ones that resonated most with your audience.
The process will keep you honest about what flopped. I don’t know about you, but if I make a mistake, I love pushing right past it and doing better next time. But without slowing down, I often fail to pinpoint why something didn’t work. The auditing process will help you dig a little deeper into why something flopped. Plus, you may find a way to upcycle what didn’t work in the new year.
You’ll have clarity moving forward. The audit will help you create a roadmap for your work moving forward and help you understand what to prioritize in the new year (and beyond).
